About This Project

“Blake and his team are professional, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with. They have designed a very beautiful and functional space for us, with attention to detail and aesthetics. Blakes took care of the whole process, first with the design stage, then brokering a joiner, arranging the bench tops and overseeing all the work. We chose the middle ground quote and were delighted to realise we could get the high-end quality we desired without the price tag. We had no desire to project manage so chose an option that covered that for us. It made the whole process very easy.Jasmina Vernon

Our clients are a busy husband and wife running a successful real estate business together. Having bought and renovated a number of properties, they’ve seen how it can still be difficult to find the right suppliers to deliver the renovation — even if you have experience.

They wanted to renovate because they didn’t like the dated look of their home and the ground floor felt enclosed. Their vision for the home involved a modernised look, an open-plan space filled with light and flowing through to the backyard.

Our clients had already chosen a builder, and we were more than happy to work with their builder. They were looking to us for inspiring design ideas for their five-bedroom Mosman home. They also wanted to be connected to a joiner or kitchen company that could pull off the superior quality they desired.

1. Design services

We did the entire design for the renovation including layout changes for the windows, so that things were symmetrical. We also chose all the materials, finishes and colours to create the high-end and sophisticated Hamptons-style kitchen our clients were looking for.

2. Brokering service — sourcing a dream team

Our clients particularly enjoyed how much time our tendering process saved them. They didn’t have to shop around and then try to compare quotes on their own. They trusted us to source tenders from joiners and bench top companies who could complete the work to their high standards.

We analysed all the quotes, then presented the design, our comparisons of quotes and our recommendation in a video conference with our clients. A video conference after-hours suited our clients best because they were flat out with work and were hard to catch at the same time and place.

Our clients chose to go ahead with our proposed team and were thrilled and surprised at the savings we could help them achieve.

3. We were there throughout the build and worked with client’s builder

The project ran smoothly, and we worked well with our clients’ builder. He did an excellent job and we now refer work to each other. When our clients had any questions about the work being done onsite, they’d give us a call to get a second expert opinion. Sometimes changes are made on site by the builder and we were able to put their minds at ease that changes were correct.

Our clients were able to focus on their business while trusting us to have their home effortlessly renovated. They were especially pleased with the quality and the price of the work carried out by the joiner we sourced. Before working with us they were under the impression they would need to use the most expensive and well-known kitchen companies and brands to achieve the design, finishes and quality they hoped for.

They were over the moon that we were able to source competitively priced suppliers who produced work of exceptional quality.

Today, our clients live in an on-trend home with:

  • A huge high-end Hamptons-style shaker kitchen with Corian benchtops
  • An open-plan space flowing onto the backyard
  • A new window layout for symmetrical aesthetics
  • A truly outstanding space for entertaining
