Our clients came to us with a vision to renovate their townhouse within The Annery – an architecturally significant estate in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs, originally built in the late 1880s as a grand family home and now converted into luxury apartments and townhouses. During lockdown, this well-travelled couple saw the opportunity to reconfigure their home to better suit their lives – introducing a high-spec entertainer’s kitchen with a breakfast nook, updated bathrooms, a standalone laundry, and as much storage as possible. As busy professionals, they wanted a calming sanctuary with a worldly feel, drawing on influences from London and Singapore where they grew up. To bring it to life, they engaged our team alongside Marylou Sobel Interior Design, who led the design direction with a soft, tonal colour palette, minimal patterning, and beautiful textures.

Through our renovation consultancy process, we guided the project from start to finish – sourcing quotes, connecting the right suppliers, and playing a key role in selecting the builder, joiner, and stonemason. Standout selections include a kitchen island in Porter’s Paints Volcanic Ash, Smartstone benchtops and splashback in Calacatta Crème, Castella Bentleigh handles, a Manhattan mixer by Brodware, and a Kelly Wearstler Utopia pendant over the island. The result is a home that reflects both the heritage of the property and the personalities of the people who live in it – and our clients couldn’t be happier.
